Why participate in a CSA?

Community Shared Agriculture (CSA) is a way for farmers and consumers to connect through the weekly delivery of fresh, organic food baskets by the farmer directly to the consumer.

There are thousands of CSA’s and currently about 100 CSA’s in Ontario alone. By paying for their produce at the beginning of the season, share holders provide the initial capital for farmers to purchase seed and supplies.

By joining our CSA you help support your local farmer, help preserve and enrich farmland and reduce our ecological footprint on the earth.

New Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Member Agreement









What’s a CSA?









A CSA connects a farmer directly with consumers. By being a member you are pre-purchasing a share in the season’s harvest. All our vegetables are
grown organically, free of genetic modification, chemical pesticides and fertilizers.




As a CSA member, each week from June 27 to October 8 (the last basket will be delivered on Saturday October 8) you will receive a healthy, local food
box of vegetables and sometimes fruits, produced on our farm, Plus a bonus early bird basket some time in June









Pick-up Depots









Hearts Content Organic Farmstead has two convenient depots for you to pick up its organic food boxes. One is located at the Ancaster Farmers Market
Wednesdays from 3:00 to 7:00 pm, and one at the Brantford Farmers Market Saturdays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Just select the one that works for
you. You can also visit us on the farm to pick up your vegetable box.




Farm pickup is on Wednesdays from 3:00 to 7:00 pm.




We also have free range organic eggs for sale for $5.00 a dozen or $80.00 for one dozen free range organic eggs weekly for the season.
